Chair's Foreword
Growth
Friar Park Millennium Centre(FPMC) had its most successful year to date during April 2010-April 2011, seeing a rapid level of growth in developing the organisation as a Local Neighbourhood Community Hub. I am pleased to be able to report a massive increase in activity levels recording a total of 64,521 attendances in community activities(1 person taking part in an activity for one session with a duration of at least one hour) and a growth of T.O. from £174,649 to £337,027 (showing a year-to-year annual growth rate of 93%) We were very fortunate to be supported by a number of funders to whom we are sincerely grateful for investing in our community and supporting this growth. Funder’s investments are highlighted throughout the report and I would take this opportunity of thanking them for their contributions which have been crucial in enhancing our growth and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.
FPMC Community Action
In reflecting on a very busy year it has been a great pleasure to see once again an increase in the number of volunteers who have come forward to offer their help across a wide range of projects. Our Big event on 10th April celebrating Diversity and Community Action saw over thirty awards being given out for their contributions, towards making Friar Park a better place to live and work.
